AHHS offers Credit Acceleration, Credit Recovery, and EOC Prep. for AHISD students only.
Please note that refunds will not be issued after Friday, May 22, 2026. Additionally, students participating in a Credit By Exam should be aware that exam results do not qualify for a refund.
SUMMER SCHOOL:
Summer school will be held Monday through Thursday only—there will be no classes on Fridays except for EOC prep which WILL run Monday through Friday.
Attendance is critical. Students must be present on all scheduled days to earn credit. If your child cannot commit to these dates or misses a day, they will not receive credit for the course.
Registration via My School Bucks opens at 8:30 a.m. on April 10, 2026, and closes at noon on May 8, 2026.
- Students may register for one course per semester or credit recovery.
- Directions for creating a My School Bucks account.
- If your child's name does not auto-populate, please add your child's official school name and school ID to ensure the correct student is linked to your account.
- Pre-registered students must register through the Counseling Office.
Credit Acceleration:
- Health
- Professional Communication (Speech) - (11-12th grades ONLY)
- Class of 2028 & beyond: Professional Communication will be earned in English class
- Class of 2027: Speech is also earned in the Incubator program and the Debate 2 course
- Government (11/12 grades ONLY)
- Economics (11/12 grades ONLY)
AHHS ECHS/AHHS P-TECH STUDENTS ONLY:
ECHS/PTECH students are not eligible for summer school acceleration courses except for Health. Speech, Government, and Economics must be taken through the Dual Credit program. ECHS/PTECH students are encouraged to take Health during summer acceleration or through Credit By Exam.
Fees:
$300 for one semester (0.5 credit), $450 for two semesters (1 credit).

Credit Recovery (AHISD Students Only)
Students should register for credit recovery course(s) based on counseling recommendations starting April 10, 2026.

Families will be notified by phone and email if a student needs to attend.
