Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to Alamo Heights High School! I have had the privilege of serving as the proud principal here since July 2020, and I can honestly say there’s no place like AHISD. We have some of the most talented and dedicated teachers and staff you will find here at Heights, an incredibly supportive and engaged community of stakeholders, and a remarkable student body.

Our vision statement embodies the ideals we hold dear: "At Alamo Heights High School, we provide an unparalleled high school experience that instills a lifelong love for learning, a deep sense of belonging, an unwavering pursuit of excellence, and the confidence to positively impact the world."

As we strive to bring this vision to life, our three campus goals guide our work each day. Our first goal is to ensure academic success for all students by collecting meaningful data to adjust instruction and maintain academic rigor. Our teachers collaborate in PLCs (professional learning communities) to examine student work and implement instructional strategies that will best meet the needs of each student. Our second goal is to ensure that all students are well-prepared for post-secondary success, including college, career, and military readiness. Lastly, we are committed to fostering and prioritizing student and staff well-being and safety. We understand that when students feel safe and supported, they are more engaged, confident, and ready to learn, fostering academic success and personal growth.

As principal, I am committed to fostering this very environment and maintaining a positive school culture where everyone feels valued. I look forward to the continued partnership with our amazing AHHS families this school year and beyond.
